Adult Recreational Program

2024 Registration is Open!

Come join us on the beautiful St. Lawrence River as a member of our Adult Recreational Rowing Program. We are an inclusive group that enjoys time on the water, staying healthy and being part of an active community.

Rowers new to the sport need to enrol in a Learn To Row (LTR) program before joining the seasonal rowing program. Stay tuned – details for the LTR program will be posted shortly!

The program runs May, June, July and August and includes coached sessions three times per week: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6pm, and Saturday mornings at 8am.

Coaching includes orientation to the boathouse and boats, dockside instruction, boat handling and safety procedures. The majority of time is spent on the water with some indoor rowing instruction on the ergs on inclement weather days. While on the water, rowers are accompanied by a coach and safety boats.

The club has a fleet of double and single coastal rowing boats, as well as flatwater racing shells.

Cost: $510.84 for the season, which includes the $60.84 Rowing Canada mandatory fee for insurance.

Season start date: May 2, 2024

Participants must be over 18 years of age and be a proficient swimmer.
